What is a PVC bamboo raft?

A PVC bamboo raft is a floating platform whose hull is made from UV-stabilised PVC tubes finished with an embossed faux-bamboo texture, mounted on a galvanised steel frame. It reproduces the appearance of a traditional bamboo raft while resisting rot, splitting and algae growth — which is why it is specified for permanent installations such as resort lakes, scenic-river cruises and water parks.

Looks like bamboo

Embossed nodes and a natural colour gradient read as real bamboo from the shoreline, without the annual replacement cycle.

Stays buoyant for years

Closed-cell PVC tubes do not absorb water, so buoyancy does not degrade as it does with timber or natural bamboo.

Built to your drawing

Length, beam, passenger layout, canopy, railing and boarding points are set by your operation, not by a catalogue.

Where PVC bamboo rafts are used

Scenic rivers & lakes

Sightseeing rafts for tour operators, with canopy shading, bench seating and a boarding ladder sized to your jetty height.

Resort & glamping pontoons

Floating decks for lakeside breakfasts, yoga platforms and swim access — the faux-bamboo finish keeps the resort's material language consistent.

Water parks & theme venues

Static platforms for film sets, floating stages and photo points, where appearance matters more than speed.

Customisation, MOQ and delivery

International buyers usually need four numbers before they can commit: minimum order, lead time, shipping terms and what happens if something arrives damaged. Here they are.

Minimum order

  • 1 unit for standard sizes and colours
  • 5 units for custom RAL colour or OEM branding
  • Sample raft can be shipped before a fleet order

Lead time

  • Drawing approval: 3–5 working days
  • Production: 30–45 working days
  • Loading and documents: 3 working days

Shipping & terms

  • FOB Ningbo or Shanghai; CIF and DDP on request
  • Knock-down packing to cut container volume
  • Installation manual and labelled parts list included

Quality and documentation

Every batch ships with the test reports issued for it by accredited Chinese testing laboratories, typically covering the PVC compound (tensile strength, UV ageing, colour fastness) and the galvanised frame (coating thickness, salt spray). The report numbers are listed in the packing documents and repeated in the technical proposal, so they can be checked against the delivered goods. Where a project calls for third-party inspection, we coordinate with SGS, BV or Intertek on the buyer's instruction.

Frequently asked questions

What is a PVC bamboo raft?

A PVC bamboo raft is a floating platform whose hull is made from UV-stabilised PVC tubes finished with an embossed faux-bamboo texture, mounted on a galvanised steel frame. It reproduces the look of traditional bamboo while resisting rot, splitting and algae in permanent water installations.

Can the size, colour and layout be customised?

Yes. Length, beam, tube diameter, deck material, railing, canopy, seating and lighting are all project-specific. Standard faux-bamboo and solid yellow tube colours are available; custom RAL colours require a minimum order of five units.

What is the minimum order quantity?

One unit for standard sizes. Custom colours, custom decking and OEM branding usually start at five units.

How long is production and delivery?

Production takes 30–45 working days after drawing approval. Rafts ship knock-down in sea-worthy crates from Ningbo or Shanghai; transit time depends on destination port.

Do you supply drawings and installation instructions?

Yes. A 3D layout and dimensioned drawing are issued for approval before production, and every shipment includes an installation manual with a labelled parts list. On-site supervision can be arranged for larger projects.

What warranty and after-sales support do you provide?

Warranty terms are agreed in the contract and stated in the technical proposal. Spare tubes, connectors and decking can be supplied separately for maintenance.
